How to Create and Regenerate Short Video Clips with AI Video Cut
AI Video Cut is an online tool designed to help users create engaging short videos from longer content. If the result doesn’t meet your expectations, you can regenerate the video and adjust the settings an unlimited number of times. Here is a step-by-step guide to making and regenerating short videos with AI Video Cut.
Step 1: Log In or Create an Account
Go to the AI Video Cut website on your computer or mobile device.
Click the Sign in button located in the top right corner.
Select your preferred method (Google or Facebook).
Step 2: Upload Your Video
From local files. Find the Upload file button on the main dashboard. Click it to open a file dialog and select the video. Make sure the video is under 2GB and under 30 minutes (for free users) or 3 hours (for premium users).
From YouTube. Enter a YouTube link in the URL field. Make sure the link leads to a specific video, not a playlist or channel, and that it’s publicly accessible and not age-restricted. After that, click the Submit button to add the video for editing.
Step 3: Set Your Preferences
Once your video is uploaded, you can select your preferences under the video thumbnail:
Pick the Output type. Expand the drop-down menu and choose one of the options (in some cases, you can select a number of clips as well).
Select the Aspect ratio supported by the target social media platform.
(Optional) Select the Speech language. It’s set to Auto by default for automatic recognition. Manual selection improves transcription accuracy, especially if your video is in a less common language.
If applicable, specify the desired Clip length. Pick one of the three available options.
(Optional) Add captions. Make sure the switch located within the Captions section is on. After that, select one of the caption styles that you like best.
Step 4: Finalize and Review
Once you’ve set the preferences, click the Submit button.
After the video is processed, click it in the list. You will see the resulting video and its transcript.
Review the video to ensure it meets your expectations.
If you would like to change the prompt, captions, or other settings, click the Regenerate button. You will be taken back to the initial settings selection screen. You won't have to upload/link the original video again.
Change the preferences as you see fit and click Submit.
If you would like to fine-tune the transcript and change captions style, click the Edit button and use the built-in editor functionality. After making changes, you can choose to Overwrite the current version of the video, or Save it as a new version (this is recommended if you want to keep the original).
Step 5: Download the Video
Once you’re satisfied with the results, click the Download button under the video.
