How to Use AI Video Cut Editor
Once your video is processed by AI Video Cut, it will automatically generate a transcript and apply captions. Although our AI does its best, the transcript may not be perfect every time, especially if there is background noise, pause fillers, or fast speech. Luckily, you can easily fix these issues in our built-in video editor. You can also change the style of your captions, and you can turn them off completely if you prefer a clean, text-free look.
Here is a guide on how to use the editor to polish your video.
Step 1: Access the Editor
- Go to My Projects.
- Find the video you want to edit and click on it.
- Click Edit to open the full video editor.
Step 2: Edit the transcript and video
In the editor, you will find the Transcript section, where you can clean up or fine-tune the text in your captions and delete some parts of the video.
To edit a word or phrase:
- Click on a word to select it or click and drag to highlight multiple words.
- In the dropdown, click Edit text.
- Type in your correction directly.
To remove text:
- Click on a word to select it or click and drag to highlight multiple words.
- In the dropdown, click Remove text.
- You can always restore deleted text by clicking the crossed-out text.
To remove both text and video part:
- Click on a word to select it or click and drag to highlight multiple words.
- In the dropdown, click Remove text and video.
- In case you want to restore deleted parts, click the crossed-out text and select Restore.
Use this option to trim the text and the related video segment. This is useful if you want to cut out an entire sentence or an awkward moment.
Step 3: Customize or disable captions
If you want to change the appearance of your captions or remove them entirely, go to the Captions section of the editor.
- Click on any caption style to instantly preview what it will look like on your video.
- Toggle the captions ON/OFF switch to add or remove text from the video.
This gives you the flexibility to match your video’s tone and aesthetic across platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts.
Step 4: Save Your Changes
Once you are happy with your edits:
- Click the Apply Changes button.
- Choose Overwrite the current version of the video, or Save it as a new version (this is recommended if you want to keep the original).
- Wait for the video to be processed with your changes.
After your video is ready, click Update and Download to export the final clip. And now you have your video!
