Even though AI Video Cut is a tool for video content repurposing, we’re constantly expanding its features beyond just smart video slicing.

Until recently, AI Video Cut’s only functionality was helping users cut long-form videos, such as interviews, podcasts, or webinars, into short, attention-grabbing segments. We use AI to identify the most engaging moments based on speech patterns, keywords, and visual cues you use in your clip.

Now, it's no longer about cutting a video into a few shorts. The tool also helps you package those shorts for publishing, so along with each video, AI Video Cut generates:

  • A title that captures the main idea or hook of the video.
  • A transcript of the spoken content, ready for subtitles or a blog post.
  • A short description with hashtags summarizing the clip, which you can use in YouTube descriptions, TikTok captions, or social media posts.

It’s one less step for creators who are already busy with recording, editing, publishing, and promotion on their own.

Who This Helps and How

A whole range of creators and marketers, including YouTubers, podcasters, social media managers, course creators, coaches, freelancers, small business owners, and even agencies can leverage this functionality.

How? You no longer need to spend extra time thinking up a title or writing a short description. Now, that’s done automatically, so you don’t have to rewatch the clip just to remember what it’s about.

If you’re running a brand account on social media, you often need to convert long-form content (like webinars, product demos, client interviews, or courses) into bit-sized clips for TikTok or Instagram. AI Video Cut provides you with captions and descriptions that can be posted as-is or lightly edited to match the tone of your brand channel.

Small Features That Stack Up: How to Get Auto-Generated Transcripts & Description in AI Video Cut

It may seem like a minor addition but when you're managing dozens of clips a week, automatically generated metadata does make a difference. Faster uploads, better searchability, and less friction are what you get as a bonus when handing off videos to clients or publishing teams.

And while the generated text is editable, many users will find it good enough out of the box. Here’s how to use it:

  1. Open AI Video Cut in your browser.
  2. Find the video you want to repurpose as short clips and either paste its YouTube video link or upload it as a file.
  3. Choose the prompt based on what you want to see as an output clip, number of clips, aspect ratio, and customize captions.
  4. Press Submit.

At this point, AI Video Cut is processing your video and trims it into several short clips.

  1. Once it’s ready, go to your Dashboard and click on the Project with the video you need.
  1. From all the videos within this project, select the one with the transcript and description you want to use.
  1. Head over to the Auto-Description tab and copy the description.

Now feel free to paste it under your video on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms. And if needed, you can edit the transcript right in a handy text-based editor.

What’s Next?

AI Video Cut is now giving the video, title, transcript, and description in one go, so it’s more than just a repurposing tool; it’s shaping up to be a lightweight content assistant for creators and marketers who want to keep publishing without adding more work hours to their day.

You can try it out now by uploading a long video and watching the full package come together in minutes.
